Corer Competencies

There are many teaching attributes that a driving instructor must have to be successful. For the purposes of assessment, the Driving Standards Agency categorises these under three main headings:

• Core Competencies.
• Instructional Techniques.
• Instructor Characteristics.

Instructional techniques and Instructor Characteristics are subjects dealt with in other titles in this series. This manual is concerned with the core competencies of fault identification, fault analysis and remedial action.
